10English: Tomorrow, When The War Began: Chapter 21-Epilogue

Ch.21:
1)How do Ellie and Fi feel as they are leaving the scene on their motorbikes? Are these realistic feelings? P.273
No, not really because it doesn't show much about Fi showing it to her neither Ellie I mean yea she did but not much of it.
2)Why do you think the group decided to blow up the bridge?
Because they wanted to stop the invader's army coming on to there country within that army that was just about to cross there were lots of tankers and back to take over the country.

3)How is this exploit different from the other exploits the group has been on e.g visiting the showgrounds and rescuing Lee?
Because it's about getting back there country which now is 1% of it done till saving the people in the showground and everything else. It's Different because of the other exploits being all just about visiting and keeping watch for things unlike taking back what is there's to them.

Ch.22
1)How does Kevins decision to go with Corrie change our perspective of him from Chapter 3/7 P280-281
That he cares more now than before, because since chapter 3-7 Kevins been a little bullied and didn't really care about things till he became more clear of Corrie being there Kevin a lot so now he wanted to go with her to help her get patched up since she got shot.

Epilogue:
What is Ellie’s concern about her story? P.283-284
Kevin and Corrie, she doesn't know where they would have gone to the hospital or not and besides that, she didn't even get to know a lot about him cause he was doing things that they didn't know where he was doing it.

What do you think will happen to Corrie and Kevin?
That they might get kidnapped by the invaders or might not come back from what they were supposed to be doing like taking Corrie to the hospital or something.

10Treble: Music Research task

Task one - Who Inspired you?
Beethoven
He Inspired me a lot like big time with how he made his own music as a musical artist, he also inspired me to play the piano and read back to what musics he has been doing for the rest of his life. The music is what counts in what the artist has in his own time.

Richard Wagner
This is also one of the people that inspired me, his music is dramatic and very awesome. He helped me get into his songs and make it into playing it on piano, it helped me so much in listing and that I could do it.

Task two - What Instrument?
What instrument's would you like to focus on?
Well as you can see in the picture above I would like to focus on the piano. Why do you ask? because to me it's much easier to play unlike some other ones, plus it sounds so calm when playing a very nice song.

RESEARCH!
When was the first instrument first invented? who by?
So in about the years of (1655-1731) in the years of that time was when the first piano was invented by a guy named Bartolomeo Cristofori

Which country did it come from?
It came from Itay the place of all people that are Italien.

What sort of places did people sing at with the instrument?
Mainly big places like the auditorium or a big opera house or something like that.

Solo Performance:
What is left to rehearse in your performance?
The end of my song and putting it all together.

What do you need to do during your holidays?
Practice, Practice, Practice no lack no slack.

Is there anything I'm worried about? Can I fix it?
No, I'm not worried about anything I got it under control.

How are you feeling about performing in class?
Pretty confident and ready for what I have installed.

What am I doing to prepare for this?
Practice is all I need in order to do this for the performance.

Tomorrow, When The War Began: Chapter 17-20

Ch 17:
1)Why does Ellie feel uncomfortable with Chris bringing cigarettes and alcohol into Hell? P.221
Because she didn't want to get involved with what he's doing or because she just wanted to be alone for a bit.

2)What happened to the soldiers involved in the lawnmower incident, according to Robyn? How does this make Ellie feel? P.224
There was three of them and two of them died since that incident with the lawnmower and them. Ellie feels a bit guilty with what happened to them and just not ok with what they did.

3)What is meant by a “clean war”? Why are the invaders so intent on having a ‘clean war’? P224-225
Because they want to make it clear that the country they are taking over is there's or because they want to clean out everyone that is in that country out.

4)Why do you think prisoners are sent to clean up the houses around town?
I think it's because they the invaders want to make clearing's for them to see who's hiding in the buildings and streets.

Ch 19:
5)What makes Ellie think the soldiers walking past them are professionals? P.244-245
Because of what they wear to show or represent who they are and what type of vehicles they are in to look like they are in charge.

6)What are some clues that the group is starting to think ‘more like soldiers’?
Planing out checkpoints, Where they get the food, How to fight back, Getting more supplies. Really just getting most of the things they learnt from each other and put it to use.

Ch 20:

7)Why is Ellie nervous about being paired with Fi? P.255-256 Were her concerns about Fi realised? Explain.
Because they must have been on bad terms and then they both didn't know what to do and maybe because she wasn't gonna be the hero since Fi was with her. Yes, Fi noticed the way she has been looking and how she has been feeling around her.

8)What is true courage according to Ellie? P. 261
When Ellie looked back at Fi in the truck she realised that she was taking a lot of risks to save everyone and that she had the courage and the strength to actually get the job done.

9)What problems do Fi and Ellie encounter on their mission to bring the tanker to the appropriate place under the bridge? How do they deal with these problems
That they didn't have the coms on for them to let them know that they are coming. They talked too much to them selfs and didn't keep an eye out on who's coming. How do they deal with it? By just going straight into it and then manage to succeed.

10Sp Sost:Child Soldiers research

Research
Paragraph

Children are used in war because most armies are low on numbers which means the warlords in charge send people from the army to recruit children from the ages of 8 and up. The reasons why they fight is because they want to either get revenge for the death of their families or they want to fight for their freedom. Child soldiers do not have human rights such as freedom, The right to play or The right to education. For example, in Afghanistan child soldiers train to fight back against … (Sudan, Afghanistan, Myanmar). The reason being is that they have nothing to be doing for the rest of their lives but just work as a slave but the army wants to find more people to recruit which means kids children in their country start getting taken in by those people from the army take the children and off. Children were kidnapped during the process of recruitment because most armies didn’t want to do direct contact with the parents or just because the parents said no and just went at night by just doing that.

Harriet Tubman Paragraph

Image result for Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman was a person born into slavery since the 18-19 century she had lots of brothers and sisters she started off being and working as a nurse when she came to a conclusion. She became the most famous person to just a few hundred of slaves the reason why she was famous was that she was the founder and leader of the “Underground railroad” But it's not really a railroad nor is it underground it was just a code for the slaves to know where to go to freedom. For example “The way for the people in slavery to communicate was using songs, and the code (Underground railroad) to talk. So from saying this, she was the slave's famous hero and who she has been to them.

2)According to what the teenagers hear on Corrie's radio, why would America be best not to get involved in Australia’s struggle? P. 168
Because it's not much of a deal to them or because they already have things they have to do in order to be safe with what they have installed.

3)Why do you think Australia being invaded?
Because they had a bad minister and that he didn't do anything about the defences that they had for the country to be ready for anything.

4)What do Kevin and Robyn argue about? Do you think Robyn’s points are fair? P.170-171
They argue about the treaty being broken and that they don't use most of the land in the country due to the invasion they are having.

5)“Paradise of Hell” is an oxymoron. What does it mean?
It means a figure of speech with two ideas being created to make that idea true.

6)Kevin’s hatred of the invaders is quite extreme. Why do you think he is so angry? P.173-174
Because they have taken his family and everything has been taken away from him so since he is angry he wants to know who did it and why or just straight death with whoever took over the country.

7)Despite the fact that the teenagers are in the midst of a war zone, evading enemy soldiers and planning guerrilla operations, they still find time to harbour romances. Do you think this is realistic? P.178
Yes, because they have been scouting the areas that are good for them to fight back at the enemies and also having a good luck romance with each other cause they think they might not make it.
