Scientific report on paper planes
AIM:
I would like to find out how far and straight it can go from the ends of the classroom plane fly through the air with thrust, lift, gravity and drag I also like to find out the length of the classroom so then I can see what to do with the wings
Hypothesis:
What I think is going to happen is that the paper plane might go to another direction because of the gravity and lift. The gravity\lift does the turning of the paper plane.
Forces on the paper plane:
Gravity:
Gravity is the force that
attracts a body towards the centre of the earth, or towards any other physical body having mass.
Drag:
Pull someone or something along forcefully, roughly, or with difficulty.
Lift:
Raise to a higher position or level and it also means
Thrust:
Push suddenly or violently in a specified direction.
Method:
The paper plane I made is a dart plane the force on the plane is gravity thrust drag and lift nothing elsa so the forces on the plane make no differents. It just goes straight to where I want it to go.
Results:
My plane flew around about 8m 69cm thought the class room I made it between the two ends of the science tables. My paper plane flew just straight ahead and court up with a class mate of mine. The forces of the plane did nothing because of the frount the frount made it a little heavy.
Discussion:
I learnt about the four force's of a paper plane the force's of the plane is Thrust, drag, lift, gravity all that makes a plane fly in the air.I also learnt about a cars forces a persons forces a ball falling down forces e.g for most of the things I learnt was easy at time but then cant understand some of the words.
